Food, drink and sustainable networking

The Sustainable Technologies Business Acceleration Hub (STBAH) provides 12 hours of free business support to companies innovating in sustainable technologies or low carbon products or services. The support is fully funded through the European Regional Development Fund.

The programme has so far received over 100 applicants from SMEs and start ups in the West of England - many who are now receiving bespoke business support to help their business progress to the next stage. Some businesses have already completed the programme and some continue to collaborate on research projects through the University of Bath.

Last week the STBAH held their quarterly networking event at the Huntsman in the centre of Bath - this event provides a relaxed environment for those businesses on the programme to network with each other and for key stakeholders to hear about the successes of the programme to date.

Pete Keevill, Entrepreneur in Residence for the STBAH gives a brief overview about the programme to date.

Many of the businesses on the programme are start ups and the entrepreneurs working on these new sustainable products or services often work part time on their business (whilst still holding down a full time job) - or some are very much working on their own - so events of this nature gives everyone an opportunity to find out what sustainable products or services are being worked on in the region and on some occasions business partnerships are made.

Informal STBAH networking event gives everyone a chance to chat and network in a relaxed friendly environment.

Plenty of food - yet again another fine spread of food from the Huntsman.
